PRESS STATEMENT: NAHCON CONCLUDES HAJJ 2019 RETURN JOURNEY
The Max Air NGL 2124, last flight to Nigeria safely landed Abuja at about 4:09am of 12th September 2019 signifying the end of the 2019 Hajj operations. It took off at 11: 55pm, 11th September, Nigerian time. The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria therefore has the honour of expressing gratitude to the Almighty for facilitating the successful conclusion of 2019 return journey to Nigeria three days ahead of schedule. The exercise that started on 17th of August spanned 26 days under 91 trips.
NAHCON Chairman, Barrister Abdullahi Mukhtar Muhammad, hence, seizes this opportunity to congratulate and commend Nigerian state pilgrims’ welfare board officials and executives for their patience, dedication and support to their respective pilgrims. It is the Commission’s prayer that the Almighty continues to guide all Hajj operatives towards success in the discharge of their responsibilities to pilgrims.
Barrister Mukhtar equally extends the same appreciation to Max Air and FlyNas for their efficiency in the airlift of pilgrims and their luggage safely to Nigeria within the fixed time. He likewise praises the civil conduct of Nigerian pilgrims during the just concluded exercise through which they carved a positive name for themselves in the host country. The same appreciation goes to both countries’ embassies and consulates in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia and to Licensed Tour Operators who did creditably well.
Further gratitude goes to accommodation providers in both Makkah and Madinah, transportation providers, caterers in the two cities as well as Masha’ir and all NAHCON staff, members of the ulama team, medical team, media, security as well as all other officials that played their roles in the interest of Nigerian pilgrims. The Commission prays that each party involved in the success of the 2019 operation be rewarded with more successes in all their life endeavours.
